I'm a registered nurse who's been at other times an English professor at DePaul University and a Franciscan friar living in San Francisco and Berkeley. I have a PhD in 18th-century Studies from Cornell University, and I lived for a year in Oxford, England while I was a student at Brasenose College. I've been a life-long musician, singing semi-professionally since I was in graduate school. I've studied composition with the nationally and internationally known composer, Mary Lynn Place Badarak. I find composing music the most satisfactory of avocations. I hope my music finds an audience and that it gives pleasure to those who listen to it or perform it. I make my scores available without charge; I do ask that if you perform any of my works, you let me know with an email to tparker1000@gmail.com. Thank you.
